Job Role:

To ensure smooth and uninterrupted functioning of all utility systems, electrical installations, and

equipment by carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance. The Utility Incharge will be responsible

for line clearance, monitoring, maintenance, and statutory compliance of utility operations to support

seamless production activities.

Key Responsibilities;

1. Line Clearance & Start-up

Inspect all utility-related machineries, equipment, switchboards, compressors, cooling towers, air

conditioners, generators, and pumps before production.

Provide clearance to production supervisors for safe start-up of operations.

2. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

Carry out preventive maintenance of electrical systems and equipment including panels, UPS, stabilizers,

cooling towers, compressors, boilers, generators, WTP, ETP, and general electric lines.

Ensure timely repair and minimal downtime of utilities to support uninterrupted production.

3. Utility Operations & Monitoring

Continuously monitor water supply, compressed air, conditioned air, electrical systems, and other utilities.

Conduct regular checks for water leakage, electrical faults, AC plant issues, and initiate corrective actions.

Maintain stock of essential spares, motors, pumps, compressors, and ensure they are in working condition.

4. Utility Support to Departments

Fulfil requisitions for treated water, drinking water, compressed air, stabilized and uninterrupted power

supply for smooth functioning of all departments.

Ensure round-the-clock availability of utilities for production and support functions.

5. Breakdown Management

Ensure minimum breakdowns of electrical equipment and machinery.

Troubleshoot issues promptly and implement measures to avoid recurrence.

6. Compliance & Documentation

Monitor and maintain ETP plant for efficient functioning and compliance with statutory norms.

Maintain proper records of preventive maintenance, breakdown reports, and utility consumption

Ensure adherence to safety standards and energy efficiency practices.

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of utility systems (Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Water Treatment, Boilers, Compressors, Generators etc.

Hands-on experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance.

Ability to manage ETP/WTP operations and ensure statutory compliance.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Good leadership, communication, and coordination skills.

Knowledge of safety regulations, energy conservation, and statutory norms.

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering.

5 to 10 years of relevant experience in utility operations and maintenance (preferably in

food/FMCG/pharma/manufacturing industry).

Knowledge of statutory compliance for utilities (Pollution control, energy audit, safety norms)
