AI-Led UI/UX CoE Head

Yamaha Motor Solutions India Ltd. (YMSLI) is advancing its vision to become a Global Capability Center of Intelligence for Yamaha Motor Corporation — where design, data, and AI converge to create next-generation digital experiences.

We are seeking a Head of AI-Led UI/UX Center of Excellence (CoE) — a design-technology leader who can institutionalize an AI-driven design practice, integrating human-centered design, GenAI-powered creativity, and data-backed experience optimization across Yamaha's digital ecosystem.

This is a pivotal role in YMSLI's innovation journey, shaping how AI augments human creativity and defining the next era of intelligent experience design across Yamaha's businesses globally.

Roles and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities 1. CoE Leadership and Strategy

• Establish and scale the AI-Led UI/UX CoE as a strategic capability center under YMSLI's Innovation Charter.
• Define the vision, roadmap, and maturity model for AI-driven design across Yamaha's digital platforms.
• Align design innovation with Yamaha's DX2 (Customer Experience) and DX3 (New Value Creation) priorities.
• Build frameworks for design governance, AI ethics, and responsible experience generation.

2. Design Intelligence and AI Integration

• Lead the adoption of AI-augmented design workflows using tools such as Figma AI, Galileo, Uizard, Midjourney, and Runway ML.
• Develop intelligent design systems that leverage data, personalization, and predictive UX insights.
• Foster collaboration between designers, data scientists, and AI engineers to enable adaptive and learning-driven interfaces.
• Create and maintain an AI-powered UX Analytics and Experimentation Platform to drive iterative improvement.

3. Experience Strategy and Delivery

• Drive design-led innovation for Yamaha's enterprise applications, mobility ecosystems, and consumer digital touchpoints.
• Oversee experience design for new-age interfaces — conversational, multimodal, and agentic UX.
• Translate behavioral data and cognitive research into actionable design insights.
• Partner with global stakeholders (YMC Japan, regional entities, and IT practices) to standardize design principles and accelerate adoption.

4. Talent, Culture, and Ecosystem Development

• Build and mentor a high-performing team of AI-native designers, UX researchers, and creative technologists.
• Institutionalize AI design upskilling programs in collaboration with Yamaha's Talent CoE.
• Partner with universities, startups, and design AI communities to co-create innovative experiences.
• Represent YMSLI in global design and AI forums, strengthening Yamaha's design leadership narrative.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, or equivalent.
• 6–10 years of design leadership experience in digital transformation, product design, or innovation roles.
• Proven track record in building or leading design CoEs, especially with AI or data-driven experience mandates.
• Deep familiarity with emerging design-AI tools and frameworks.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating design innovation at the intersection of AI, data, and human experience.
