Job Title: Ad-hoc Field Engineer (On-Call Basis)

Job Type: Ad-hoc / On-Call

Location: Anywhere in your local region

Scope of Work:

The Field Engineer will be engaged on an as-needed basis to support physical installation and basic setup of network and IT infrastructure at client premises. The tasks typically include:

  • Unboxing and physically setting up new devices (routers, switches, servers, etc.).
  • Installing devices in racks and connecting them to power supply.
  • Patching necessary cables – LAN, WAN, MPLS, etc., as per provided instructions.
  • Providing remote console access to the backend/remote team for configuration and testing (UAT).
  • Capturing and sharing images of installed devices and rack layouts.
  • Ensuring cleanliness and organization of the server room post-installation.

Key Requirements:

  • Prior experience with network or IT hardware installation (basic understanding of cabling and power connections).
  • Ability to follow remote instructions and coordinate with off-site teams.
  • Familiarity with handling console cables and basic network ports.
  • Access to smartphone or camera to capture and share installation images.
  • Professional conduct while on-site and ability to work independently.
  • Availability on short notice for on-call jobs.

Job Types: Part-time, Contractual / Temporary, Freelance

Pay: ₹300.00 per hour
