Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented QA Engineer (Manual Testing) who can independently manage the end-to-end QA process. The ideal candidate will take ownership of test planning, execution, reporting, and actively participate in agile ceremonies, user story reviews, and BRD evaluations.

  • Analyze business requirements, BRD, and user stories to develop test strategies and test plans.
  • Design, write, and maintain comprehensive manual test cases.
  • Perform functional, regression, UI/UX, and exploratory testing.
  • Coordinate and participate in daily stand-up calls, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs using appropriate tools.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and designers to ensure product quality.
  • Provide feedback on usability and suggest improvements where needed.
  • Prepare test summary reports and ensure deliverables meet quality standards before releases.
  • Take full ownership of the manual testing process across multiple projects.
  • Design, document, and execute comprehensive manual test cases for web and mobile applications.
  • Maintain test documentation and contribute to continuous QA process improvements.
  • Mentor junior team members and guide best practices in manual testing.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to meet delivery deadlines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in manual testing.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to read and understand BRDs, FSDs, and user stories thoroughly.
  • Proficient in preparing test cases, test plans, and test reports.
  • Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Trello, TestRail, or similar.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to Have (Not Mandatory):

  • Basic understanding of automation concepts (even if not hands-on).
  • Exposure to bug tracking and reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman is a plus.
