Job Description – CAD Engineer (HVAC Domain)

Position: CAD Engineer

Experience: 4 – 5 years

Domain: HVAC Unit Design

Software: Siemens NX / Unigraphics

Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled CAD Engineer with expertise in Unigraphics (Siemens NX) and domain knowledge in HVAC systems. The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing plastic components and assemblies with a focus on manufacturability, tooling, and packaging requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Create and modify 3D CAD models and assemblies using Unigraphics/NX.

Develop
Master Sections, 3D annotations, and detailed 2D drawings
as per industry standards.

Work on concept development, feasibility analysis, and packaging studies for HVAC unit components.

Apply Design for Manufacturing
(DFM) principles
with strong focus on Injection Molding and Blow Molding.

Define locating and fixing strategies for assemblies to ensure accurate fit and function.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, tooling, manufacturing, validation) to ensure seamless product development.

Ensure compliance with functional, thermal, durability, and regulatory requirements for HVAC systems.

Required Skills & Experience:

4–5 years of CAD design experience in
HVAC domain.

Proficient in
Unigraphics / Siemens NX CAD software.

Strong expertise in
Plastic Part Design
with knowledge of
Injection Molding and Blow Molding
tooling processes.

Experience in Master Section creation, concept development, and packaging strategies.

Hands-on knowledge of
GD&T, 3D annotations, and 2D drawing creation.

Good problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Nice to Have (Optional):

Experience in automotive HVAC unit design or similar domains.

Familiarity with thermal management systems and related engineering requirements.

Exposure to design change management and engineering
