Role Description
- Organizing and analyzing clients' financial information
- Taking advantage of opportunities to minimize tax liability through deductions
- Preparing necessary forms for filing taxes
- Advising clients about tax liabilities and other tax-related matters
- Filing tax returns electronically on behalf of clients
- Establishing and updating client records
- Keeping abreast of current IRS and state and local tax rules and regulations, and ensuring full compliance
- Able to handle multiple projects efficiently
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to multitask.
- At least 5 years of tax preparation experience gained from a tax firm or retail setting, preparing federal and state individual 1040, 1065, 1120s, and 1120 tax returns using commercial tax preparation software.
- Willingness to utilize audio/visual tools to communicate with customers.
- Comfortable interacting with customers through video in a professional way.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant experience in tax compliance and accounting
- Excellent knowledge of tax regulations and codes
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment with excellent time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in financial software, Excel, and tax preparation software
- Should be available to join within 45 days.
