JOB DESCRIPTION – MANAGER- CORPORATE TAXDirect Tax Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of direct taxation, ensuring compliance with local and international tax laws, optimizing the company's tax position, and providing strategic tax planning guidance. This role involves a blend of technical tax expertise, analytical skills, and collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders. Person is responsible for handling direct taxes of entire group entities involved.Key ResponsibilitiesTax Compliance and Reporting: Oversee the accurate and timely preparation and filing of all direct tax returns (e.g., corporate income tax, withholding tax, advance tax) across all applicable entities & jurisdictions. This includes managing tax provisions and ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).Group Reporting : Drive and oversaw US Group reporting requirement through timely preparation & ensure all tax scheduled to the Group reporting have been prepared and submitted in time for the year end (January to December).Resolve all queries raised by the group either through email or through scheduled meetings.Tax Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement effective tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize tax savings while ensuring full compliance with tax laws. Advise tax head and CFO on the tax implications of business decisions, transactions, and new business initiatives and cross-border operations.Tax Audits and Litigation: Manage inhouse all direct tax audits, inquiries, and assessments from tax authorities. Formulate and prepare responses and submissions, and represent the organization before tax officers and appellate authorities (e.g., CIT(A), ITAT).
