Job Summary:

The Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing prescription and over-the-counter medications, counseling patients on medication use, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with medical and legal standards. The role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret physician prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness.
  • Dispense prescribed medications accurately and efficiently.
  • Advise patients on the proper use, dosage, and potential side effects of medications.
  • Monitor patient drug therapies for interactions, allergies, or contraindications.
  • Maintain records of dispensed medications and patient interactions as per regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure medications are stored properly and inventory is up-to-date.
  • Order and restock pharmaceutical supplies and ensure proper labeling and packaging.
  • Comply with all pharmacy laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards within the pharmacy.
  • Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D).
  • Valid Pharmacist license/registration with [local Pharmacy Council or regulatory authority].
  • Strong knowledge of drug interactions, side effects, and pharmaceutical calculations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
