A Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or a related field and prior managerial experience are often required. Key Responsibilities
- Staff Supervision:Manage, lead, and evaluate the performance of the nursing staff and other healthcare professionals on the floor.
 - Patient Care Coordination:Oversee the patient care process, ensuring high standards are met and services are coordinated efficiently.
 - Operations Management:Manage the day-to-day operations of the hospital floor, ensuring efficiency and a smooth workflow.
 - Policy and Protocol Implementation:Ensure the implementation of hospital policies and protocols to maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
 - Resource Management:Assist in the management and efficient use of hospital resources on the floor.
 - Communication:Serve as a critical communication link between patients, their families, medical staff, and administrative departments.
 - Problem-Solving:Address and resolve patient and staff issues, ensuring prompt attention and efficient problem-solving.
 - Compliance:Ensure the floor adheres to healthcare laws, hospital policies, and regulatory standards.
 
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Leadership and Management:Strong leadership, organizational, and management skills are essential.
 - Communication:Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to interact effectively with staff and patients.
 - Healthcare Knowledge:Proven experience in hospital operations and a strong understanding of healthcare regulations and procedures.
