Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in managing the kitchen, overseeing food preparation, and ensuring the highest quality of dishes served to our guests. The Sous Chef will also be responsible for mentoring junior staff, maintaining kitchen organization, and adhering to safety and sanitation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Kitchen Management:

  2. Assist the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations.

  3. Ensure efficient food preparation, plating, and presentation.

  4. Maintain kitchen organization, cleanliness, and safety standards.

  5. Food Preparation:

  6. Prepare high-quality dishes, ensuring consistency and presentation.

  7. Develop and implement new recipes and menus.

  8. Ensure proper food storage, handling, and disposal.

  9. Leadership and Training:

  10. Mentor and train junior staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment.

  11. Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff during peak hours.

  12. Provide guidance and feedback to improve staff performance.

  13. Quality Control:

  14. Ensure all dishes meet the highest quality and presentation standards.

  15. Conduct regular quality checks and implement corrective actions.

  16. Maintain accurate inventory management and minimize waste.

  17. Safety and Sanitation:

  18. Ensure adherence to safety and sanitation standards.

  19. Conduct regular kitchen inspections and implement corrective actions.

Requirements:

  1. Education:

  2. Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or related field.

  3. Experience:

  4. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Sous Chef or similar role.

  5. Proven track record of leadership and kitchen management.

  6. Skills:

  7. Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of cooking techniques.

  8. Strong leadership and communication skills.

  9. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

  10. Familiarity with kitchen safety and sanitation standards.
