Role & responsibilities
Drafting and Vetting of Contracts and Agreements:
Responsible for drafting, reviewing, and vetting legal agreements to ensure legal compliance, risk mitigation, and alignment with business objectives. This includes:Manufacturing & Quality Agreements
- Service Agreements
- Consultancy Agreements
- Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs)
- Tri-Party Agreements
- Leave and License Agreements
- Rent Agreements
- Loan License Agreements
- Drafting and processing of Amendments to existing contracts as required
And any such other agreements as required on need-to-need basis.
Legal Notices Relating to Intellectual Property (IP):
Drafting and reviewing legal notices concerning alleged or actual IP infringement matters. Responsibilities include:Preparing cease and desist notices
- Responding to infringement allegations
Coordinating with our lawyers for further actions and works
Company Policies for Website Publication:
Conduct legal vetting and approval of key consumer-facing policies intended for publication on the companys website. These include:Terms and Conditions
- Shipping and Delivery Policies
- Return and Refund Policies
Privacy Policies and any other website disclosures, ensuring they comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements
Regulatory Notices and Compliance:
Drafting and finalizing responses to notices received from regulatory bodies and government authorities. These typically relate to:Non-Standard Quality (NSQ) product issues
- National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) matters
- Suspension or recall orders
Ensuring timely, accurate, and legally sound responses in coordination with regulatory, QA etc.
Employment and Labour Law Matters:
Handling a range of legal issues arising under employment and labour-related laws. This includes advisory and compliance work under:The Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act
- The Minimum Wages Act
- The Payment of Bonus Act
- The Industrial Disputes Act and other relevant labour legislation
Assisting in internal HR legal issues, disciplinary actions, and employment contracts
Filing of legal cases against rival companies in IP Infringement matters.
Legal Research and Compliances:
Conducting detailed legal research on existing and evolving laws applicable to the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry, including:Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act
- Drugs and Cosmetics Act
- Rules pertaining to Labelling and Packaging of pharmaceutical products
- Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act
- Legal Metrology Act
Providing legal updates and guidance to internal teams on compliance requirements, regulatory developments, and industry-specific legal risks
