Role Purpose:
To lead and drive the overall publishing (sales/ Marketing / Operations/ Trade & Channel) for Rekhta Foundation. The candidate will be responsible for achieving revenue targets, expanding market presence, managing key relationships, and building a high-performing sales team that supports the organization's growth objectives.

1. Revenue Growth & Sales Target Achievement

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets across all product categories.
  • Drive consistent revenue growth through effective sales strategies.

2. Market Expansion & Channel Development

  • Identify and develop new markets.
  • Expand distribution channels: bookstores, institutional sales, online platforms, and direct-to-consumer.
  • Develop and implement annual sales plans in alignment with company goals.
  • Forecast demand, track market trends, and adjust sales plans accordingly.
  • Coordinate with the marketing and editorial teams to align promotional activities and new product launches.

3. Customer Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, and institutional buyers. Oversee customer retention initiatives and ensure high satisfaction levels.

4. Product & Pricing Strategy

  • Collaborate with editorial and production teams to provide market feedback on titles and trends.

5. Digital & Online Sales Growth

  • Drive sales performance on e-commerce platforms (Amazon, Flipkart, publisher's own website).
  • Develop and grow digital product sales (e-books, subscriptions). Partner with digital marketing for online campaigns and promotions.

  • Represent the Rekhta Foundation at industry events, book fairs, and conferences.
  • Build visibility and reputation of the brand in trade and institutional networks.
