Job Description
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate recording of transactions and proper classification of expenses and revenues.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, including vendor management, invoice verification, payment processing, and customer billing.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with management to develop annual budgets and forecasts, monitoring performance against budgeted targets and providing recommendations for improvement.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization, revenue growth, and risk mitigation.
Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations, including the preparation and submission of tax returns, managing tax audits, and implementing tax planning strategies.
Internal Controls: Establish and maintain effective internal control procedures to safeguard company assets, mitigate risks, and maintain compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Inventory Management: Work closely with the operations team to oversee inventory valuation, costing, and control, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
Financial Systems and Processes: Continuously evaluate and improve financial systems and processes to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and support business growth.
Audit Support: Assist in the coordination and preparation of financial audits, liaising with external auditors and ensuring timely and accurate submission of required documentation.Education/Experience
Qualifications:
. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA Certified Public Accountant) are highly desirable.
. Proven work experience as an Accountant, preferably in the diamond or luxury goods industry.
. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.
. Proficiency in using accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills.
. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional      teams.
. High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
