Quality Analyst

As a Quality Analyst – Application Services, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality applications. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative and innovative team environment. You will work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, and developers to ensure applications meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Your responsibilities will include analyzing business requirements, creating test cases, performing various types of testing, and driving continuous improvements throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Requirements Analysis
  : Partner with business stakeholders and Business Analysts to review and analyze detailed requirements for application development projects.
• Test Strategy and Planning
  : Develop test strategies, including defining objectives, test plans, and acceptance criteria.
• Test Case Design and Implementation
  : Create and execute test cases and scenarios across functional, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Defect Management
  : Identify, report, and track defects using defect management tools, ensuring timely resolution by the development team.
• Collaboration and Communication
  : Act as a liaison between the QA team, developers, and project managers to ensure clarity on requirements, testing processes, and timelines.
• Automation Testing (Optional)
  : If applicable, design and implement automated test scripts to improve efficiency and coverage.
• Change Management
  : Support change management strategies for the adoption of new applications and systems.
• Continuous Improvement
  : Contribute to QA process enhancements and adopt new tools and technologies to elevate testing practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in quality analysis or assurance for application development or software projects.
• Strong understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle).
• Experience with testing tools such as JIRA, Selenium, Postman, or similar.
• Familiarity with databases and SQL for validation and testing.
• Knowledge of methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to edge cases and complex scenarios.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in an IT-related field.
• Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) is a plus.

• Reports to a Service Delivery Lead / Manager.
• Supports requirement gathering, test case development, and effort estimation.
• Contributes to both functional and non-functional testing to ensure robust, scalable applications.
• Maintains a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
• Keeps up to date with QA trends, methodologies, and emerging tools.
