Job Description

We are looking for an experienced API Developer (Backend) with strong expertise in Java and J2EE to design, develop, and deliver scalable, secure API-based digital solutions. The role involves building RESTful and SOAP services following SOA principles and API best practices, and integrating with both internal systems and external partners.

The candidate should be comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional and remote teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful and SOAP APIs following industry standards and best practices
  • Implement end-to-end API solutions using Java, J2EE, and Spring Boot
  • Ensure APIs adhere to OpenAPI / Swagger specifications and SOA principles
  • Build secure APIs using OAuth2, JWT, and other security standards
  • Integrate APIs with external partners and internal systems
  • Work with Oracle databases and develop required SQL scripts
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure smooth delivery and deployment
  • Support API lifecycle management and documentation

Technical Requirements

  • Strong experience in Java & J2EE development
  • Hands-on experience with Spring / Spring Boot
  • Expertise in RESTful and SOAP Web Services
  • Experience with JSON, XML, WSDL, OpenAPI, Swagger
  • Knowledge of API Management platforms (Apigee is a plus)
  • Experience with OAuth2, JWT, and API security best practices
  • Familiarity with Maven / Gradle build tools
  • Experience with Oracle Database, UNIX, and Shell scripting
  • Exposure to microservices architecture (preferred)
  • Experience with MQ, SMPP is an added advantage

Nice to Have

  • Telecom domain experience (OSS/BSS, EAI, Siebel, etc.)
  • Experience working in large-scale integration environments

Education

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecom Engineering, or equivalent.
