Job Summary

The Senior Telecaller will be responsible for handling outbound and inbound calls, engaging with prospective students, nurturing leads, and ensuring successful conversion into admissions or sales. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong persuasion ability, and experience in lead management. The Senior Telecaller will also support junior telecallers, share best practices, and work towards achieving monthly and quarterly conversion targets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Management & Conversion

  • Make outbound calls to prospective leads generated through campaigns, referrals, walk-ins, and online inquiries.
  • Handle inbound calls, resolve queries, and provide accurate information about courses/products/services.
  • Qualify leads based on interest, eligibility, and intent, and follow up consistently until closure.
  • Achieve individual and team admission/sales conversion targets.

2. Counselling & Engagement

  • Explain course/program details (eligibility, curriculum, fee structure, career outcomes) in a clear and persuasive manner.
  • Build rapport and trust with prospective students/customers and their families.
  • Guide them through the application, documentation, and enrollment/payment process.

3. Team Support & Reporting

  • Mentor and support junior telecallers by sharing scripts, objection-handling tips, and conversion strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of calls, leads, and conversions in CRM/Excel sheets.
  • Generate daily/weekly call and conversion reports for management review.

4. Communication & Customer Care

  • Handle objections professionally and convert hesitations into positive decisions.
  • Ensure polite, professional, and empathetic communication at all times.
  • Provide after-admission support (if required) to strengthen long-term relationship.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: 12th with telecalling experience inckuded confirmed lead conversions in eductaion sector /Any degree (Graduate/PG) preferred;
  • Experience: 2–4 years of telecalling/lead conversion/admissions counselling or sales experience.
  • Skills Required:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English + local language).
  • Strong persuasion and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to identify genuine leads and focus on high-probability conversions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office / CRM software preferred.
  • Personal Attributes: Target-driven, confident, patient listener, and result-oriented.

Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Number of calls made per day/week.
  • Lead-to-conversion ratio (%).
  • Achievement of monthly enrollment/sales targets.
  • Customer satisfaction and feedback.
  • Team contribution and mentoring effectiveness.
