Role description

We are seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong experience in designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts for web and API testing. The ideal candidate will have solid hands-on experience in Java, Selenium WebDriver, and Rest Assured, with a deep understanding of automation frameworks and QA best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java, Selenium WebDriver, and Rest Assured.
  • Develop and enhance automation frameworks for web and API testing.
  • Execute test cases, analyze test results, and report defects using standard bug-tracking tools.
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • Perform regression testing and ensure the stability of builds.
  • Participate in code reviews, test planning, and test strategy discussions.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, scripts, and results.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 4+ years of overall experience in software testing (manual + automation).

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in automation testing using:

  • Java (core programming and OOP concepts)

  • Selenium WebDriver (UI automation)
  • Rest Assured (API testing and automation)
  • Experience with TestNG, Maven/Gradle, and Git.
  • Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) preferred.
  • Knowledge of Postman, JIRA, or similar tools is an advantage.
