Position Summary
As an Sr. IT Systems Administrator at Rimini Street, you will be responsible for supporting our primary data center, our Disaster Recovery site, global remote sites, and users. Responsibilities will include management of Azure and AWS clouds, VMware, Backups, Storage, Active Directory, Databases, Alerts, Monitoring and IT tickets. This position will focus mainly on our Linux and Windows infrastructure with an emphasis on the Linux side.

This is a great opportunity for a person who is driven, passionate about technology, and interested in working at a growing and dynamic company. This position requires a high level of comfort with Azure, AWS, Linux, Windows, VMware, Storage, Backups and handling the equipment in the datacenter.

This role requires strong technical and business aptitude, as well as excellent verbal, written communication skills, and attention to detail. It also requires a strong commitment to customer service and superior communication and organizational skills essential in fostering excellent relationships with our clients.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python) and automation tools like Terraform.
• Experience setting up, provisioning, managing and automating cloud and on-prem infrastructure with Terraform.
• Manage and maintain server, containers, storage, and virtual infrastructure in VMware environment as well as Azure and AWS.
• Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and report on backups of VMs, Servers, Databases and Files.
• Manage and maintain Print Servers, DFS, Active Directory, DHCP and DNS infrastructure.
• Manage and maintain data centers.
• Work closely with other departments to build and troubleshoot virtual systems and clouds to provide necessary access.
• Proactively monitor and troubleshoot systems with SolarWinds.
• Support power and manage UPS and PDUs.
• Rotational on call support.
• Lead & timely completion of Projects.
• Off-hours maintenance support as needed.
• Other job-related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.

Minimal Qualifications

• Experience with standard System Administration tasks including server builds, security updates, software installations and system troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail.

• A dedication to produce useful and detailed documentation.
• Self-motivated and able to manage self-imposed deadlines and responsibilities.
• Strong team player who excels in a collaborative environment
• Demonstrated skills in planning and successfully executing complex IT projects.

LOCATION

EDUCATION

• Bachelor and/or Master's in computer science or related field preferred
• Professional Certifications (Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect, Linux +, LFCE, LFCS, LPIC are examples)

Experience

• 9+ years of experience with Cloud infrastructure primarily Azure and AWS.
• 9+ years of experience with Active Directory Administration, Storage and Servers
• 9+ years of experience with VMware, Kubernetes, Terraform
• 9+ years of experience with Backups
• 9+ years of experience with Linux and Windows servers
• 9+ Years of experience in scripting Languages such as Bash, Python, Perl and PowerShell
• 9+ Years of experience supporting data centers.

Skills

• Linux OS including RHEL, SUSE, CentOS, Ubuntu
• Terraform
• Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, and DNS
• Microsoft Office 365
• Mail Systems

• Storage and Blade Servers
• Superior customer service skills

Desired Qualifications

• Strong experience in Azure with Linux and Windows servers using Terraform for management.
• Solid understanding of Active Directory, DHCP and DNS services
• VMware Enterprise Plus product suite
• Scripting experience in Bash, Powershell, python
