Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced
Senior SAP CPI Developer
with a solid background in designing, implementing, and optimizing complex integrations across SAP and non-SAP systems. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise in
SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI)
, strong understanding of integration patterns, and the ability to lead end-to-end integration delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Integration Design & Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain integration flows (iFlows) using SAP CPI.
  • Implement integration scenarios involving SOAP, REST, OData, SFTP, IDoc, RFC, and JDBC adapters.
  • Build scalable, reusable, and secure integration components.
  • Create and optimize mappings (XML, JSON, XSLT, Groovy scripts).

2. SAP Integration Architecture

  • Work across SAP systems like S/4HANA, ECC, SuccessFactors, Ariba, Concur, Hybris, and third-party applications.
  • Support and enhance cloud-based & hybrid integration architecture.
  • Ensure integration designs follow enterprise standards and best practices.

3. Development & Technical Expertise

  • Develop custom logic using
    Groovy scripting
    , message transformations, and exception handling.
  • Work with API Management (APIM), SAP Integration Suite components, and security artifacts (OAuth2, certificates, tokens).
  • Troubleshoot CPI integration issues using message monitoring, trace logs, and performance tools.

4. Project Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead integration workstreams with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate with functional consultants, architects, and business teams to define requirements.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint delivery.

5. Documentation & Quality Assurance

  • Maintain high-quality technical documentation including design specs, test plans, and operational guides.
  • Conduct unit testing, regression testing, and support UAT cycles.
  • Ensure compliance with security, governance, and change management processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of total IT experience
    , with
    5+ years of hands-on SAP CPI development
    .
  • Strong expertise in integration technologies, cloud platforms, and middleware.
  • Proficiency in
    Groovy scripting
    , API development, XML/XSD, JSON, and RESTful services.
  • Solid understanding of SAP modules and data structures (IDoc, BAPI, BADI).
  • Experience working with SAP BTP Integration Suite, API Management, and Cloud Connectors.
  • Knowledge of authentication mechanisms (OAuth2, Basic Auth, Certificate-based).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with SAP PI/PO migration to CPI.
  • Knowledge of Event Mesh, Kafka, or other event-driven architectures.
  • Exposure to DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines).
  • Experience with SuccessFactors, Ariba, or S/4HANA Cloud integrations.
