Role Overview

We're seeking a highly motivated
AI Engineer
with
1–2 years of experience
in
Machine Learning (ML)
,
Deep Learning (DL)
, or
Natural Language Processing (NLP)
.

You'll be part of the
Vakta AI engineering team
, responsible for developing, fine-tuning, and deploying AI models that drive the platform's conversational and speech intelligence capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize
    ML/DL/NLP models
    for speech and text processing.
  • Work with
    ASR and TTS systems
    , focusing on accuracy, speed, and real-time integration.
  • Pre-process and clean large datasets for training and validation.
  • Implement
    Transformer, RNN, and CNN
    architectures using
    TensorFlow or PyTorch
    .
  • Integrate AI models into production pipelines via
    APIs or microservices
    .
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data science, backend, and product managers).
  • Monitor model performance and continuously improve accuracy, latency, and robustness.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's / Master's in
    Computer Science
    ,
    AI
    ,
    Data Science
    , or related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in
    ML/DL/NLP model development
    .
  • Proficiency in
    Python
    and libraries like
    NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch
    .
  • Experience with
    LLMs (Large Language Models)
    and
    speech recognition
    systems.
  • Familiarity with
    Hugging Face
    ,
    OpenAI APIs
    , or
    LangChain
    frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Preferred (Added Advantage)

  • Experience with
    ASR frameworks
    (Whisper, Kaldi, Vosk).
  • Knowledge of
    vector databases
    (Pinecone, FAISS).
  • Exposure to
    MLOps
