The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior SDET who thrives in high-performance, data-heavy environments to lead the quality engineering initiatives across our Crawler Pipeline, Platform, Search PODs.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys breaking complex distributed systems, designing intelligent automated test frameworks, and ensuring system reliability and correctness across AI-driven, data-intensive workflows, microservices & event driven systems.

What You Will Achieve & Key Responsibilities

• Own the test strategy, automation, and reliability validation for the Crawler, Platform, and Search services.

• Design end-to-end automated testing frameworks for microservices and asynchronous data pipelines (Python, Go, AWS).

• Build robust integration, regression & Performance test suites to validate data ingestion, transformation, and indexing workflows.

• Develop synthetic and chaos testing frameworks to identify edge cases and performance bottlenecks in large-scale crawling and enrichment systems.

• Collaborate with Platform engineers to instrument observability and alerting in the Central Logging and Monitoring stack (e.g.,AWS OpenSearch, AWS Managed Prometheus, Grafana).

• Partner with Search engineers to ensure query relevance, accuracy, and latency meet performance SLAs.

• Introduce shift-left testing practices, including static analysis, CI/CD gate validation, and reproducible test environments.

• Create automated performance benchmarking tools to measure throughput and cost per operation, unit cost economics across distributed components.

• Contribute to internal QA tooling and frameworks for AI API evaluation, schema validation, and data consistency checks.

• Drive a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.

• Own quality across mission-critical systems that power product data intelligence for the construction industry.

• Work with a lean, high-impact engineering team that values automation, performance, and pragmatic problem solving.

Who You AreMinimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an SDET, QA Automation Engineer, or Software Engineer in backend or platform systems.

• Strong coding skills in Java,Python, Go with proven experience in building or maintaining automation frameworks.

• Experience testing distributed microservices, asynchronous data pipelines, and message queues (AWS Lambda, SQS, Kafka, Celery).

• Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, ECS, CloudWatch, Lambda, DynamoDB, S3).

• Familiarity with AWS OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, API testing (Postman, pytest, k6), and CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).

• Experience in performance testing, fuzz testing, or chaos engineering.

• Strong understanding of logging, metrics, and monitoring systems (Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry).

• Excellent debugging and analytical skills, with a "break it to make it better" mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to AI/ML pipelines, data labeling, or enrichment workflows.

• Familiarity with crawler or scraper frameworks (Scrapy, Playwright, Selenium).

• Experience in infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and test data generation.

• Understanding of secure coding and testing practices (SOC 2, OWASP).
