Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Calypso + Java Developer with 46 years of hands-on experience in Calypso development, Java programming, and financial systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with business analysts, QA, and other technology teams to design, develop, and support Calypso-based applications for trading, risk management, and back-office operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, customize, and support Calypso modules across Front Office, Risk, Collateral, and Back Office.
  • Design and implement solutions using Java, Calypso API, and related frameworks.
  • Work on trade workflows, messaging, and interfaces with upstream and downstream systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring system stability and performance.
  • Participate in requirement gathering, solution design, coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Business Analysts, QA, DevOps, Infrastructure).
  • Provide L2/L3 support, bug fixes, and enhancements in production systems.
  • Write and maintain technical documentation.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 4–6 years of experience as a Java Developer with at least 2–3 years on Calypso platform.
  • Strong knowledge of Core Java, Multithreading, Collections, Design Patterns.
  • Hands-on experience with Calypso APIs (DataServer, Engine, Collateral, Accounting, Messaging, Trade, Workflow).
  • Experience in Calypso toolkits, custom engines, and extensions.
  • Good knowledge of SQL/PL-SQL and working with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux scripting and deployment.
  • Experience in FIX, FpML, XML, JMS, MQ, or REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Understanding of financial products – FX, Derivatives, Fixed Income, Equities.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
