Role Description

  • The Robot Programmer will be responsible for programming, testing, and commissioning industrial robots used for applications such as material handling, machine tending, and welding.
  • The role involves hands-on work with robotic arms (e.g., Fanuc, Yaskawa, Kuka, Delta, Mitsubishi, etc), PLCs, HMIs, and machine interfacing systems.
  • The ideal candidate will have practical experience in integrating robots with machines, configuring I/Os, and ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient operation of robotic systems on the shop floor or customer site.
  • Key Responsibilities - Develop and modify programs for industrial robots (Fanuc, Yaskawa, or others)
  • Integrate robots with PLCs and machine-side automation (I/O mapping, handshaking, etc.)
  • Configure and troubleshoot HMI interfaces for robot control
  • Conduct simulation, testing, and on-site commissioning of robots
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and controls teams
  • Ensure safety and compliance with automation standards
  • Provide technical support during and post-installation

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • B.E. in Instrumentation, Electronics, or E&TC
  • 2-3 years of experience in industrial robotics
  • Strong working knowledge of robot programming (Fanuc, Yaskawa, etc.)
  • Familiarity with PLC & HMI programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Delta)
  • Hands-on experience with machine-side and robot-side interfacing and multiple I/O configurations
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
