DevOps Engineer

JD for DevOps

*CI/CD & Pipelines*

* Configure GitHub Actions for builds and deployments.

* Implement build versioning.

* Enable automatic deployment to test environment on push to main.

* Provide controlled production deployments with approval gates.

*Infrastructure (AWS)*

* Configure Route53 for DNS management.

* Set up accounts & access management.

* Deploy services in containers on Kubernetes (EKS) or ECS.

* Configure traffic flow: CloudFront → Load Balancer → ECS/K8s.

* Establish VPC peering for MongoDB access.

* Set up CDN (CloudFront) and caching layer (e.g., Varnish).

* Infrastructure-as-Code (100% Terraform or CloudFormation).

*Security*

* Configure WAF (Web Application Firewall).

* Implement multi-layer protection.

*Scalability & High Availability*

* Design for scalable workloads.

* Ensure zero-downtime deployments.

*Monitoring & Alerting*

* Infrastructure monitoring (CPU, memory, network).

* Centralized logs collection & application metrics.

* Dashboards in Kibana / Grafana.

On-call support with alerting (less prio for now but will be required when we go fully live)

*Cost Efficiency*

* Optimize infrastructure usage for cost control.

*Access setup*

* VPN access to internal resources.

*Other Tooling (less prio)*

* Integrate 1Password for secrets management (for internal usage, not for services).

* Integrate Okta for identity & access management (for internal centralized applications access).
