Position Title: DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes)

Experience Required: 5–7 years

Employment Type: Contractual – Full Time (6 months, extendable)

Work Location: Fully Remote

Shift Timing: 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM (IST)

About the Role:

We are looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer with strong foundational knowledge and practical experience in Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD automation. The ideal candidate is someone who not only understands the basics thoroughly but is also proactive, resourceful, and able to deliver solutions independently. This is a lead-level individual contributor role requiring both technical expertise and accountability for results.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage and maintain Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications across environments.

* Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.

* Administer and optimize Docker environments; ensure image security and best practices.

* Manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.

* Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.).

* Ensure system availability, scalability, and high availability (HA) configurations.

* Collaborate with development teams to streamline deployment and release processes.

* Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.

* Stay current with emerging DevOps technologies and continuously improve automation and reliability.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

* 5–7 years of total experience, with at least 4+ years in a DevOps-focused role.

* Strong understanding of Kubernetes (setup, deployment, scaling, and troubleshooting).

* Solid hands-on experience with Docker – containerization concepts, image management, and registries.

* Experience managing Source Code Management (SCM) tools (Git, GitHub, GitLab).

* Proficiency with CI/CD pipeline design, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

* Basic to intermediate knowledge of Linux system administration and shell scripting.

* Understanding of high availability (HA) configurations and load balancing.

* Practical experience with monitoring, alerting, and logging tools.

* Good communication skills and ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

* Strong problem-solving mindset with willingness to learn and adapt quickly.

Preferred (Nice to Have):

* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

* Exposure to networking concepts (DNS, firewalls, routing).

* Prior experience in patch management, upgrades, and system hardening.
