Overview The Admission Counsellor plays a crucial role in the enrollment process of students. They are responsible for providing information and guidance to prospective students, helping them navigate the admissions process and ultimately securing their enrollment. This position is pivotal in shaping the student body and directly impacts the success and growth of the educational institution.Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with prospective students to provide information about the institution, its programs, and admissions criteria.
  • Guide students through the application and enrollment process, offering support and assistance as needed.
  • Respond to inquiries from prospective students and their families, addressing concerns and providing accurate information.
  • Meet enrollment targets by effectively communicating the value of the institution to prospective students.
  • Conduct campus tours and organize admissions events to showcase the institution and its offerings.
  • Assist with the development of marketing materials and strategies to attract potential students.
  • Collaborate with academic departments to ensure accurate representation of programs and requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and updated records of prospective students and their application status.
  • Participate in admissions committees and contribute to the selection process of incoming students.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all applicants and their families, fostering a positive experience.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and changes in admissions requirements.
  • Coordinate with other departments to streamline the admissions process and enhance overall student experience.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of admissions policies and procedures.
  • Travel to recruitment events and represent the institution professionally.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Business, or related field.
  • Prior experience in admissions, sales, or customer service in an educational setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences and address sensitive topics.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of admissions processes, enrollment management, and student recruitment strategies.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and database management.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in helping students achieve their academic goals.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for admissions events and recruitment activities.
  • Understanding of academic programs, curriculum, and extracurricular opportunities desirable.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding enrollment targets is a plus.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and confidentiality in handling student information.
  • Ability to represent the institution in a professional and engaging manner.
