Lead Specialist

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Knowledge Services team at Marsh. This role will be based in Mumbai. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Lead Specialist - Data Analytics/ Data Engineering

We will count on you to:

• Collaborate with international stakeholders to align with business requirements & objectives.
• Gather, analyze and model data to develop business insights to drive decisions.
• Design and implement data pipelines, including ETL processes, to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into structured formats for analysis.
• Integrate and aggregate data from multiple sources, such as internal databases, third-party APIs, and data lakes, into centralized data warehouses or data lakes.
• Manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, demonstrating effective prioritization and time management.
• Communicate complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing.

What you need to have:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Analytics, or a related field, or a Master's degree in Statistics, Computer Applications, IT, Business Analytics, or any discipline.
• Proven experience of 4-5 years in data engineering, ETL development, and data pipeline management along with exposure to data analysis & Insights, whilst working with large data sets.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data extraction and manipulation with specific experience in managing a database along with writing intermediate to complex SQL queries for data extraction.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, or similar
• Effective communication skills to present findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
• Strong understanding of data governance, data security, and compliance standards.
