Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior QuickSight Engineer to design, develop, and optimize interactive dashboards and business intelligence solutions using AWS QuickSight. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data visualization, analytics, and data modeling, along with a deep understanding of AWS data services and data integration pipelines.

This role will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to transform complex datasets into actionable insights that drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop interactive dashboards, visualizations, and reports using AWS QuickSight.

Collaborate with data engineering and business teams to understand requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.

Create efficient data models and implement row-level and column-level security in QuickSight.

Optimize QuickSight performance through dataset preparation, SPICE optimization, and query tuning.

Work with AWS data sources such as Redshift, RDS, S3, and Athena for dashboard integration.

Manage and automate QuickSight assets using APIs, SDKs, or AWS CloudFormation.

Ensure data accuracy, reliability, and visualization best practices in all deliverables.

Develop reusable templates and style guides for consistent reporting across the organization.

Participate in data validation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of report issues.

Support end-users and provide training or documentation as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

8+ years of experience in business intelligence or data analytics, with at least 3+ years in AWS QuickSight.

Strong proficiency in building dashboards, reports, and visual stories in QuickSight.

Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Redshift, RDS, S3, Athena, Glue, and Lambda.

Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and optimization.

Experience with data modeling, ETL concepts, and data warehousing best practices.

Good understanding of data governance, access control, and performance tuning.

Familiarity with cloud-based analytics environments and AWS security practices.

Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
