What you'll do

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Python and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Create and manage RESTful APIs to facilitate smooth communication between different software components.
  • Utilize version control tools like GitHub and SVN for efficient code management and collaboration.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability while ensuring security best practices are followed.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software to improve functionality and performance.
  • Engage in continuous learning to stay updated on emerging technologies such as AWS, Azure, and Quantum engineering.

Basic qualifications

  • Proficient in Python programming language with a strong understanding of software development principles.
  • Familiarity with web development technologies including JavaScript, React Express, and front-end frameworks.
  • Experience with databases such as MySQL or SQL for effective data management.
  • Knowledge of application development best practices within Linux environments.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies to enhance team collaboration and project delivery.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with Ruby on Rails or .NET frameworks for diverse application development.
  • Familiarity with C#, C++, or VBA programming languages for versatile coding capabilities.
  • Understanding of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) principles to ensure secure application access.
  • Previous experience working with cloud services like AWS or Azure is a plus.
