We are seeking a talented Python Developer/Lead with substantial experience in developing Django, REST APIs, working with AWS, Linux, Celery, Redis, and PostgreSQL (PSQL).
The ideal candidate will also have experience leading a team of 7+ developers and be well-versed in AGILE methodologies and JIRA for project management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing guidance and support.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure web applications using Python and Django.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to support various front-end services.
• Deploy and manage applications on AWS, ensuring high availability and scalability.
• Utilize Celery for task queue management and Redis for caching.
• Work with PostgreSQL databases, ensuring data integrity and performance optimization.
• Implement and enforce best practices in code quality, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to maintain a high-quality codebase.
• Manage project tasks and timelines using AGILE methodologies and JIRA.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, continuously improving skills and processes.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in Python and Django development.
• Proven experience in designing and developing REST APIs.
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with AWS services.
• Proficiency in Linux environments.
• Experience with Celery and Redis for background task management and caching.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL (PSQL) and database management.
• Demonstrated experience in leading a team of developers.
• Familiarity with AGILE methodologies and using JIRA for project management.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React).
• Familiarity with Docker and containerization technologies.
