Key Responsibilities:1. Inventory & Record Management

  • Record all purchase entries (vegetables, grocery, dairy, consumables, etc.) in the system on a daily basis.
  • Maintain issue slips for all material issued to kitchen, bar, and service departments.
  • Ensure stock levels are always updated in the software / Excel system.
  • Maintain proper filing of all purchase bills and supplier challans.

2. Purchase Quality Check

  • Physically inspect the quality and quantity of all incoming items (especially vegetables, dairy, meat, and dry items).
  • Report any substandard or short-supply items immediately to the Purchase or Chef team.
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely and quality supply.

3. Stock Control & Consumption Management

  • Track daily material consumption against standard recipes and expected usage.
  • Identify and report any excess consumption or wastage.
  • Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) method in storage to maintain freshness.
  • Plan and request reorders before items reach reorder level to avoid shortages.

4. Advance Planning & Coordination

  • Prepare advance purchase indent for daily and weekly requirements.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen and purchase team for upcoming bulk orders or events.
  • Plan stock for high-demand days (weekends, festivals, holidays).

5. Shift & Work Discipline

  • Work in shifts (Morning / Evening) as per operational requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper labeling in the store area.
  • Follow all food safety and hygiene protocols as per FSSAI standards.
