Global Sales Strategy & Operations (GSSO) is the team that helps shape Gartner's mission-critical sales priorities and works with sales leaders to drive tactical and analytical insights. As an associate on the GSSO team, you'll be at the forefront of the ongoing transformation of Gartner's sales force, which delivers approximately $4.9B in annual revenue and working to drive sustained double-digit growth. You will partner with business leaders across Gartner to support a global sales force comprised of more than 5,000 associates who sell to every major function, industry and market sector around the world
About the role:
The Business Associate, Competitive Sales Strategy will play an important role in supporting sales in competitive situations. We are looking for an analytical, data-driven problem solver who will partner with others on the Competitive Sales Strategy Team to support analysis, reporting, and generating insights. This role will focus on discovering, assessing, and researching competitors / the competitive landscape.
What you will do:
Operationally support competitive intelligence program to improve sales strategy and seller execution through analysis of external and internal data
Perform analyses on key-value levers and approaches to improve seller productivity
Conduct research on externally available data and analyze to drive fact-based decision-making that improves overall performance and economics
Perform high-quality quantitative and qualitative analytics for long-range planning and other major initiatives
Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting and refresh existing reports as needed
Look for opportunities to improve existing processes and partnership model with other teams across GSSO and enterprise
What you will need:
Bachelor's degree required with 3-5 yrs of experience in Business Analytics and/or Sales Operations
Exceptional analytical skills with a high proficiency in SQL, PowerBI, Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Data-driven and results-oriented individual
High sense of urgency and attention to detail
Good organizational and time management skills
