Schematics and Apparatus Engineer, responsible for design and  development of electrical architecture, electrical schematics and apparatus for rolling stock projects. Ensure that all electrical design activities are delivered in compliance with rolling stock standards, project requirements, and international railway norms

Key Responsibilities

  • Design of train electrical architecture and cubical layout as per technical specification documents (TSS and TFS). Preparation of single line diagrams (SLD).
  • Selection and implementation of  electrical apparatus (relays, circuit breakers, connectors, contactors, etc.) according to functional requirements from preferred part list.
  • Prepare functional schematics diagram (PPS- pure principle schemes) and wiring diagram.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant railway standards (EN 50155, EN 50343, EN 50124, EN 50121, IEC 61375, etc.) and engineering processes.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Systems, Installation, Mechanical, Validation, and Industrialization) to ensure design consistency and integration.
  • Support design reviews, verification activities, and technical documentation for manufacturing and testing.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical schematic and apparatus design, ideally within the rolling stock or rail industry.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems architecture, electrical schematics and apparatus
  • Familiar with railway norms, standards, and design assurance principles

Tools: Zuken E3S, EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, or See Electrical.
