Job Title: Data Analyst - UK Shift

Location: United Kingdom (UK Time Zone)

Department: Data Management / Investment Operations

Location: Kochi

Role Summary:

As a Data Analyst in the UK shift, you will be responsible for the accurate setup and maintenance of security, index, and pricing data on the global data management platform. Your role supports the wider investment operations by ensuring the accuracy and completeness of critical reference and valuation data. You will also contribute to automation, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives across the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setup and maintain security, index, and price data in the global data management platform.
  • Perform quality control checks on security master, index, and pricing data.
  • Monitor and validate daily data feeds from internal and external sources.
  • Review exception reports and missing price reports; maintain spreadsheets for manual pricing.
  • Source and input manual prices for illiquid instruments using trusted data vendors.
  • Recalculate Private Equity valuations following events (e.g., capital calls, drawdowns).
  • Monitor shared mailboxes and respond to stakeholder data queries promptly and effectively.
  • Assist line manager with project work, change requests, and process documentation.
  • Participate in testing of system enhancements and new software releases.
  • Maintain and support automated processes ("robots") used by the team.

Must Have Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong PC skills, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills for cross-department collaboration.

  • Basic understanding of:

  • Securities data (Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives)

  • Pricing and index data
  • Corporate action event pricing methodologies
  • Organized and capable of handling repetitive tasks with high attention to detail.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines independently or as part of a team.
  • Willingness to support occasional flexible working hours based on business needs.

Good to Have Skills and Experience:

  • Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience working with instrument, price, or index data in an asset management environment.
  • Industry qualifications such as IOC, IMC, or similar.

  • Experience with platforms such as:

  • Aladdin

  • S&P Markit EDM
  • T24
  • Experience with data vendors: Bloomberg, Refinitiv Eikon/Datascope, ICE.
  • Working knowledge of Excel macros, formulas, VBA, Power Query, SQL.
  • Exposure to data-centric projects or system changes.
  • Xceptor Practitioner Certification and experience configuring workflows.
