
Hotel Sales Executive( Room sales)

Job Summary:
The Room Sales Executive is responsible for driving room revenue by proactively selling hotel accommodations, building strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, and individual guests, and ensuring maximum occupancy. The role requires excellent communication skills, negotiation ability, and a strong customer service mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with new and existing corporate clients, travel agents, and OTA partners.
- Achieve monthly and yearly room sales targets as defined by management.
- Conduct sales calls, client meetings, and property visits to promote hotel facilities and rooms.
- Negotiate contracts and prepare proposals, rate agreements, and corporate packages.
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and customer feedback to develop effective sales strategies.
- Maintain a database of corporate accounts, travel agents, and group bookings.
- Coordinate with the front office and reservations team to ensure smooth handling of guest bookings.
- Participate in sales promotions, exhibitions, and networking events to enhance brand visibility.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports for management review.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good negotiation and presentation abilities.
- Target-driven and results-oriented.
- Knowledge of hospitality sales techniques and local market trends.
- Proficiency in MS Office and hotel PMS systems (Opera/Fidelio preferred).
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in hotel sales or a similar role (freshers with strong communication skills may also be considered).
- Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
