Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Principal Piping Engineer located in Navi Mumbai. The Principal Piping Engineer will be responsible for leading the piping design team, performing stress analysis and calculations, and ensuring compliance with all project specifications and standards. The role includes coordinating with other engineering disciplines to ensure the successful design and execution of projects, providing technical guidance, and maintaining documentation and records.

Job Responsibilities -

  • Overall awareness and understanding of Project lifecycle, Piping detail engineering process, timelines and milestones.
  • Hands on experience in Piping deliverables like Plot Plan, Equipment Layout, Piping Layout, Piping MTO, Piping Isometrics, Pipe Supports.
  • Piping Design and Piping skills
  • Proficiency in performing Stress Analysis and Calculations
  • Good understanding of 3D model based detail engineering, interfaces with 3D Admin.
  • Basic understanding of Piping stress analysis concepts.
  • Good understanding of Interdisciplinary interfaces and coordination.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards.
  • Good understanding of Brownfield / Turnaround / MOC projects involving interfaces with existing facilities.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point, MS Paint.
  • Good English communication skills – written and oral.
  • Below experience will be an added advantage

Site posting experience during construction phase

Working with Laser Scan Inputs.

  • Experience in Piping Material Specification and Valves procurement.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree from a reputed institute.
  • Software exposure - Navisworks, any 3D software -E3D, S3D, PDS or PDMS

Experience

  • 15+ years experience in Piping Engineering field.
  • Minimum 10 years hands-on experience in Piping Detail Engineering of Oil & Gas and/or Chemical Sector projects, executed on a 3D model platform.
  • Prior experience in independently handling a team of minimum 10 persons.
