Principal / Senior Data Engineer – Product Development

Were looking for a Principal / Senior Data Engineer to work on cutting-edge data ingestion pipelines and distributed product engineering for one of the worlds leading graph data science companies.

Roles & Responsibilities

Understand design specifications and follow best practices for core product engineering.

Build data ingestion pipelines for distributed systems with parallel processing in Golang, C++, or Java.

Develop solutions for:

o Ingestion from cloud storage (Amazon S3, Azure, GCP), databases (Snowflake, BigQuery, PostgreSQL), files, Kafka, data lakehouse (Iceberg).

o High-availability (HA) loading, cross-region replication.

o Monitoring/error reporting of ingestion processes.

o Third-party integrations: Kafka, Kafka Connect.

Collaborate in Agile teams and contribute to CI/CD workflows.

Proficiency & Skills

Must Have

Strong knowledge of distributed systems for large-scale, data-intensive applications.

Proficiency in Java or Golang.

Deep expertise in Kafka (Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, Kafka Security/Customization).

Hands-on experience with Apache Spark & building Spark connectors.

Linux fundamentals & shell scripting.

Nice to Have

gRPC protocol & multi-threaded programming.

Zookeeper / ETCD / Consul.

Docker & Kubernetes.

Familiarity with distributed consensus algorithms (Paxos / Raft).
