Principal / Senior Engineer – Product DevelopmentJob Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Principal/Senior Engineer to join our product development team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in designing and building distributed systems with parallel processing, high availability, and scalability. This role involves working with large-scale data ingestion pipelines, cloud storage systems, and event-driven architectures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate and implement design specifications into high-quality product features.
  • Lead the core product development process, ensuring best practices in distributed systems.
  • Build robust data ingestion pipelines for distributed systems with parallel processing using Java, C++, or Golang from multiple sources:
  • Cloud storage: Amazon S3, Azure Cloud Storage, Google Cloud Storage
  • Databases: Snowflake, Google BigQuery, PostgreSQL
  • Files, Kafka, data lakehouse (Iceberg)
  • Develop features for high availability (HA) loading, cross-region replication, and error reporting/monitoring.
  • Integrate and optimize Spark Connectors.
  • Manage third-party integrations such as Kafka, Kafka Connect, and other streaming technologies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in building distributed systems with parallel processing.
  • Strong expertise in Kafka (Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, Kafka Security & Customization).
  • Experience with Spark connectors and stream processing frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of event-driven architectures.
  • Proficiency in Agile development and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with gRPC protocol and multi-threaded programming.
  • Familiarity with Zookeeper, ETCD, or Consul.
  • Understanding of distributed consensus algorithms (e.g., Paxos, Raft).
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
