Senior Backend Engineer

to lead the development of a high-performance, Al-driven backend platform that empowers eCommerce brands to grow faster through intelligent decision-making. You'll be responsible for building robust

boost conversions, improve campaigns, and grow revenue

Job Overview:

We're looking for a Backend Engineer with 3+ years of backend experience to take ownership of critical services, influence architectural decisions, and deliver high-impact technical solutions. You'll work across a modern stack—including Scala, Spring Boot, Rust, and AWS—and partner closely with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to bring scalable systems to life. 

Key Responsibilities:

● Technical Ownership: Lead backend development in Scala, Spring Boot, and Rust, ensuring high standards in code quality, reliability, and performance. 

● Architecture & Strategy: Shape the future of our platform by actively contributing to system design and long-term technical strategy. 

● Roadmapping & Planning: Collaborate with product managers to translate business needs into clear, executable technical roadmaps.

● Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive system delivery. 

● Release Orchestration: Oversee deployment strategies, enabling smooth and low-risk feature rollouts across environments. 

Qualifications:

● 5+ years of backend development experience using
Scala/Play

,
Spring Boot

,
Rust

, or similar frameworks. 

● Deep understanding of
distributed systems

,
REST API design

, and system-level architecture. 

● Proficient in cloud infrastructure, especially
AWS

, and containerization using
Docker

. 

● Hands-on experience with
CI/CD pipelines

PostgreSQL

, and infrastructure-as-code concepts. 

● Ability to work autonomously, prioritize effectively, and deliver results on time. 

● Strong communication skills to articulate technical decisions across engineering and product teams. 

● Proven track record of
owning the full lifecycle
