The Position

Ashnik is looking for a DevOps Engineer who combines deep expertise in NGINX, Kubernetes, and Cloud platforms with strong coding skills in Python to build automation and integration workflows. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of infrastructure, application delivery, and automation engineering.

Qualifications & Experience

• Linux Expertise: 5+ years of Linux system administration and troubleshooting experience.
• NGINX Hands-on: 2+ years of deployment, configuration management, and performance optimization.
• Kubernetes Experience: 3+ years of designing and deploying Kubernetes clusters on cloud and on-premises platforms.
• Cloud-Native Knowledge: Proven experience architecting cloud-native Kubernetes solutions (e.g., AWS EKS, Azure AKS, GCP GKE, or Red Hat OpenShift).
• Technical Breadth: Strong fundamentals in Linux, reverse proxy concepts, networking, web servers, and virtualization. Experience with log monitoring and observability tools (e.g., ELK/Elastic Stack) is a plus.
• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree (Engineering or equivalent discipline).

Responsibilities

• Integration Expertise
  
  Collaborate with cross-functional infrastructure teams to integrate NGINX into enterprise environments. Drive automation for deployment, scheduling, monitoring, and alerting to ensure operational excellence.
• Architect & Deploy
  
  Design and implement Kubernetes clusters for diverse customer workloads across cloud and on-premises environments. Work closely with Elastic, Kafka, and Postgres teams to ensure seamless deployment and scaling of their platforms.
• NGINX Mastery
  
  Lead the configuration, tuning, and ongoing management of NGINX servers. Continuously review logs to proactively identify performance risks or security gaps, and deploy optimized configurations aligned with organizational security policies.
• Automation & Development
  
  Develop automation scripts and integration utilities using Python (preferred), Go, or Shell scripting. Build reusable tools and frameworks that accelerate deployments and streamline DevOps workflows.
