Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Professor to join our Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The successful candidate will have expertise in VLSI (Very-Large-Scale Integration) and Embedded Systems and will be responsible for teaching, research, and service in these areas. This is a full-time, tenure-track position.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching:

  • Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in VLSI, Analog and Digital Chip Design and Embedded Systems
  • Design and deliver lectures, assignments, and laboratory sessions.
  • Supervise student projects, theses, and dissertations.
  • Mentor and advise students on academic and career goals.

Research:

  • Conduct cutting-edge research in VLSI and Embedded Systems.
  • Publish research findings in reputable journals and present at conferences.
  • Seek external funding through grant proposals to support research activities.
  • Collaborate with industry and other academic institutions on research projects.

Service:

  • Participate in departmental, college, and university committees.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and program accreditation activities.
  • Engage in outreach activities to promote the department and its programs.
  • Provide professional service to academic and industry communities.

Other Duties:

  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in VLSI and Embedded Systems.
  • Participate in professional development activities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or a closely related field with a specialization in VLSI and Embedded Systems.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching and a strong commitment to student success.
  • A proven track record of research and scholarly activities in VLSI and Embedded Systems.
  • Ability to secure external funding for research.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in academia.
