Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and creative SolidWorks Designer to join our Interior Design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed 2D and 3D CAD models, layouts, and technical drawings using SolidWorks, specifically for custom furniture, modular kitchens, wardrobes, and interior metalworks. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to bring client visions to life through precision engineering and design detailing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create 2D drawings and 3D models of modular kitchens, wardrobes, furniture fittings, and customized interior elements using SolidWorks.
  • Convert conceptual designs into detailed engineering drawings.
  • Prepare BOMs (Bill of Materials) and ensure accurate measurements and specifications.
  • Work closely with the production and installation teams to ensure designs are feasible and meet quality standards.
  • Revise drawings and designs based on feedback from clients, engineers, or site teams.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and design guidelines.
  • Maintain organized CAD libraries and design documentation.
  • Assist in prototype development, fabrication checks, and on-site measurements when required.

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in SolidWorks CAD designing in the interior or furniture industry.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and knowledge of other CAD software is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of materials (especially stainless steel, wood, glass) and joinery techniques.
  • Ability to interpret architectural drawings and convert them into detailed shop drawings.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred:

  • Experience with sheet metal design and fabrication drawings.
  • Familiarity with modular interior systems and CNC-compatible output.
  • Knowledge of ERP-based BOM and manufacturing workflow.
