Role & responsibilities

The role supports the Finance Head in overseeing accounting, taxation, audits,balance sheet and compliance activities, while managing a team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. The incumbent will function as the second line of control in the Finance department, driving accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Supervise accounting operations including payables, receivables, general ledger, and reconciliations.
  • Support preparation and finalization of financial statements as per statutory requirements.
  • Handle GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory compliances.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures.
  • Coordinate with statutory, internal, and tax auditors for timely closure of audits.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and ensure timely vendor/customer payments.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide MIS reports and financial analysis for management review.
  • Lead and guide team to maintain accuracy and timeliness in reporting.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards, GST, Income Tax, and Companies Act.
  • Proficiency in Tally,ERP, and MS Excel.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Good leadership, communication, and team-handling skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and multi-task in a dynamic environment.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory.
  • 7-10 years of post-qualification experience in manufacturing/engineering industry preferred.
