Job Description

We are seeking detail-oriented Language Editors with strong command over English language and exceptional proofreading skills. The ideal candidate will ensure content accuracy, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines while maintaining high editorial standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Proofread and copyedit various types of content including articles, reports, marketing materials, and web content
• Review grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax to ensure error-free content
• Ensure consistency in style, tone, and formatting across all documents
• Apply appropriate style guides (AP Style, Chicago Manual of Style, etc.) as required
• Check facts, figures, and references for accuracy
• Rewrite or rephrase content to improve clarity and readability
• Maintain editorial standards and brand voice guidelines
• Collaborate with writers and content creators to enhance content quality
• Meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Track changes and maintain version control of edited documents
• Provide constructive feedback to content creators
• Stay updated with language trends and editorial best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 6 months - 2 years of experience in proofreading, copyediting, or language editing
• Advanced proficiency in English language (grammar, vocabulary, syntax)
• Strong proofreading and copyediting abilities with attention to detail
• Familiarity with style guides (AP Style, Chicago, APA, MLA, etc.)
• Excellent understanding of grammar rules and language conventions
• Ability to maintain consistency in style and tone

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹12, ₹15,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Perungudi, Chennai, Tamil Nadu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
