We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager - Finance Operations
Business: Finance
Principal responsibilities
Should have extensive expertise in accounting under relevant GAAPs, GL Close and analytical reviews.Advance knowledge and practical application of IFRS2, IFRS9, IAS19, IAS37, IAS36, IAS38 and IFRS15.Good understanding of flow of data from the source systems (Loan IQ, HIE, Treats, Fusion etc) to the PSGL and in SARACEN.Should be well versed and prior experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation and Substantiation process.Should have logical thinking embedded in daily approach to work.Should be capable of picking new projects/assignments / process: Identify, Drive, Build & operate it as BAU.Responsible for executing the business as usual (BAU), Controls in the financial accounting processes.Should be good in Excel / MS Access.Identify opportunities for process re-engineering / improvement and drive changes independently.Drive projects / identify automation opportunities.Accountable for:
Provision of well-grounded analysis for own areas of accountability to enable sound understanding of business requirements and informed decision making.Analyse the systems' architecture and understand existing solutions to assess how to leverage and enhance them.Support project management with business and technical documentationDesign and implement data transformation process.Gain understanding of the change in banking operations and other activities performed by the Group.Understand the business/finance meaning behind reporting system`s specifications.Investigate the source of required information and design the logic of obtaining such information.Qualifications:
CA: minimum 3-4 yrs, of post-qualification experienceSound Accounting & Financial Reporting knowledge.Strong Understanding of IFRS, FRENCH GAAP requirements related to product control.Good understanding of IFRS, FinRep and GSIB reporting requirements.Exposure to treasury reporting schedules would be preferable.Exposure to multiple systems and database handling. Prior experience in Saracen submissions preferable.Ability to understand numbers and their impact. Drive and achieve accuracies across report deliveries.High level analysis skills, including the ability to look at the bigger picture and interpret data & trends in the context of business, as well asthe ability to work quickly & accurately to tight deadlinesKnowledge of, and experience in planning and organizing techniques as well as in problem solving techniquesSelf-driven, with the ability to lead teams and work within a teamFlexibility to work in accordance with Business requirementsCapable of working with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into process / data maps, etc.Strong attention to detail and being solution orientedComplex analytical reasoning skills enabling appraisal of the Global reporting requirements and translate into functional requirements forsystem developmentStrong communication skills (both oral and written) and an ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple manner to a global audienceWilling to challenge the status quo, be proactive and innovative in driving changeWilling to travel if neededExcellent working knowledge of MS related products i.e PowerPoint, Excel.What additional skills will be good to have?
Prior experience in Financial Accounting and Reporting.Knowledge of FINREP/GSIB /IFRS reportingYou'll achieve more at HSBC
