Job Title: Tableau Developer (Senior Level)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Tableau Developer to design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights for business decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data visualization, business intelligence, and analytics, with proven expertise in Tableau and related technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and optimize Tableau dashboards, reports, and visualizations for various business units.
  • Data Integration: Connect Tableau to multiple data sources (SQL, cloud platforms, APIs) and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Performance Optimization: Implement best practices for dashboard performance, scalability, and usability.
  • Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Data Modeling: Create and maintain data models, calculated fields, parameters, and sets within Tableau.
  • Security & Governance: Implement row-level security, user permissions, and follow data governance standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain technical documentation for dashboards, data sources, and processes.
  • Troubleshooting: Provide support for Tableau-related issues and optimize existing dashboards.
  • Mentorship: Guide junior developers and share best practices for Tableau development.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical Expertise:
  • Advanced proficiency in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server/Cloud.
  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction and transformation.
  • Experience with ETL tools and data warehousing concepts.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret complex data sets and present insights clearly.
  • Performance Tuning: Knowledge of optimizing Tableau dashboards for large datasets.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders.
  • Additional Tools: Familiarity with Python/R for analytics, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tableau Certification (Desktop Specialist, Certified Professional).
  • Experience in Agile development environments.
  • Knowledge of other BI tools (Power BI, Qlik) is an advantage.
