Job Description

Who are we looking for: We are looking for a Technical Product Lead with a strong technical background focused on the more technical aspects of the product within the product development team. You are required to liaise with different members of the development team to drive projects forward. You'll help define the product's roadmap and strategy, and deliver clear requirements in collaboration with Designers and Engineers will use to bring team's vision to life. Your roles and responsibilities include leading a team for concept generation - prototype – meet the SOW (scope of work) - troubleshoot the product. You will be entirely responsible for the product's life cycle from a technical standpoint of view. In additional your roles and responsibilities will include:

  • You will be the key member of cross-functional product development teams that typically includes mechanical, electronics, design engineers and co-ordinate with manufacturing departments to build the product and also see-through the product lifespan from a technical standpoint of view
  • Should able to generate new concepts and prototype them for feasibility of the product
  • Interact with customer, project manager & key stakeholders in the company for ensuring the SOW of the product is met
  • Understand, research and follow latest technology trends in the industry
  • You should use your technical expertise in order to drive the team.
  • Constantly motivate and encourage team to get the best out of the team.
  • Ability to work well with internal teams, coordinating with engineers, quality assurance operations and developers. Ensure requirements are fully understood and that implementation plans match expectations. Validating the product thoroughly before release
  • Define success criteria for testing and product acceptance.
  • Facilitate Create and maintenance of proper product documentation.
  • Lead continuous development of the product by undertaking product feedback from customers, users, service team & projects team to drive next level of features & execute them

Required Candidate profile As a successful candidate, you must have:

  • Must be BE/BTech/ME/MTech - Mechanical
  • 6+ Years of professional experience in product design and development / NPD
  • Should be flexible enough and be adaptable to the changing and varied work settings.
  • Should have worked on building products from ideation to production.
  • Knowledge and application of FMEA & DFMA  Hands on experience in Technical calculations.
  • Should have executed cost down programs and experience in product costing.
  • Should have an important part in product reviews/evaluation.
  • Exposure to value engineering is a must.
  • Good knowledge in assembly and manufacturing process for all commodities
  • Experience in using simulation tools will be an added advantage.
  • Hands on experience in the Analysis / Troubleshooting of automation products
  • Knowledge of communication interfaces and Testing life cycle
