Job Title: Category Manager – Agriculture Sector

Location: Pune

Experience Required: Minimum 2+ years in Sales or Agricultural Machinery

Salary Range: ₹5 LPA – ₹10 LPA

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly driven and experienced Category Manager to manage and grow the agriculture product category at Shoption. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in agriculture sales or machinery, strong market understanding, and the ability to develop innovative strategies to increase category performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the end-to-end agriculture product category, including product listing, pricing, and promotions.

Develop strategies to grow category sales, improve customer experience, and increase profitability.

Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and distributors.

Conduct market research to identify new product opportunities and industry trends.

Negotiate pricing, offers, and supply terms with vendors.

Analyze sales reports, performance metrics, and inventory trends.

Collaborate with marketing, sales, and operations teams to execute category plans.

Ensure timely availability of products and maintain optimal stock levels.

Drive innovation and introduce new farm machinery or agriculture products to the platform.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum 2+ years of experience in Agriculture Sales or Agricultural Machinery.

Strong understanding of the agriculture market, farmer needs, and industry trends.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.

Data-driven approach with strong analytical abilities.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.

Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
