
New Store Opening Manager

The NSO Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all activities related to the opening of new retail stores. The role ensures seamless store launches by managing timelines, coordinating with cross-functional teams, training staff, and ensuring operational readiness as per brand standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Pre-Opening Planning
- Coordinate with Projects, HR, Training, Merchandising, IT, and Operations teams for store readiness.
- Prepare NSO checklists, timelines, and budgets.
- Ensure legal, statutory, and compliance requirements are fulfilled before store launch.
2. Store Setup & Readiness
- Oversee store fit-out completion, fixtures, IT setup, and merchandising as per brand guidelines.
- Ensure inventory allocation and stock availability before opening.
- Validate VM (Visual Merchandising) standards, POS functioning, and SOP compliance.
3. Team Coordination & Training
- Work with HR to ensure timely hiring and onboarding of store staff.
- Conduct induction and on-floor training for staff on SOPs, customer service, and sales processes.
- Act as the first point of contact for the store team until stabilization.
4. Launch Execution
- Oversee dry runs and mock operations prior to launch.
- Coordinate marketing & promotional activities with brand/marketing team.
- Ensure smooth execution of opening day and customer experience.
5. Post-Opening Stabilization
- Monitor store KPIs during the first 30-60 days of operation.
- Support the store team in resolving operational challenges.
- Handover store operations to the regional/store manager after successful stabilization.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong project management and coordination skills.
- Knowledge of retail operations, SOPs, and compliance.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- Ability to handle multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines.
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate / Postgraduate in Business, Retail Management, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in retail operations, preferably with exposure to new store openings.
- Hands-on experience in training, operations setup, or project coordination is an added advantage.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹30, ₹55,000.00 per month
