Sr Payroll Analyst, International

Role & responsibilities
• Support month-end close activities by gathering and validating payroll data needed for journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations, primarily for international entities across APAC and EMEA (Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, India, China, Japan, Hong Kong, Israel, Dubai, Austria, Belgium, Germany, France, Spain, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden, or the UK)
• Assist in the preparation and review of payroll-related financial reports, ensuring data completeness and consistency across systems while protecting PII.
• Cleanse and anonymize payroll data used in financial analysis, ensuring compliance with data privacy standards.
• Coordinate data requests between GAR, Payroll Operations, FP&A, employment tax, and external service providers to enable timely reporting and issue resolution.
• Document and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for payroll accounting support and rhythm-of-business (ROB) activities.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, automate data collection, and improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
• Support internal and external audit requests, ensuring complete and accurate documentation is available on time.
• Maintain data governance and compliance controls, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to company policies.
• Contribute to other key payroll operations items and projects
Preferred candidate profile
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in Payroll Operations and/or accounting support, with exposure to international entities preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills, with the ability to synthesize large datasets accurately.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Experience working with Oracle, Workday, or other ERP systems.
• Familiarity with ADP payroll data and/or Blackline reconciliations.
• Experience supporting projects, system implementations, or process improvements.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, especially across time zones and functions.
• Understanding payroll accounting concepts (journal entries, accruals, reconciliations).
